Week 10 of the Campeonato Brasileiro is official and the big match of the round featured the Minas Gerais derby between rivals Cruzeiro & Atlético Mineiro. Cruzeiro rested its key players ahead of its 2nd leg Copa Libertadores final and Mineiro took advantage by destroying their rivals 3-0. Éder Luís scored his 6th goal of the season as Galo moved to the top of the table.

Vitória moved into 3rd place in the Brasileirão with a 6-2 destruction of Santos at home. 2 goals by Roger help seal the victory and helped move the forward on loan from São Paulo to the top of the goal scoring table along with 8 goals in the campaign. Bahia's only team is now tied with Santos for the 3rd best offense in the tournament.

Atlético Paranaense continued their climb off the bottom of the table with a big 3-2 win over Internacional. Marcinho's double helped O Furacão hold off Internacional. Paranaense have lost once in their last 5 games winning 3 of those matches to move closer to a Copa Sudamericana spot.
