The Columbus Crew finally made their visit to the White House on Tuesday and they were greeted by a huge surprise.

President Barack Obama received a ball signed by the entire MLS championship-winning side and he treated them to some of his own trickery and skill with the ball.

In his short time as president, Obama has shown more support for the Beautiful Game than all the other 43 presidents combined. He has always shown his love for the game as he confessed to having a soft spot for West Ham United in the Premiership and to have played the game while he lived in Malaysia as a young boy. He has also sent a letter to FIFA in order to push the US Soccer Federation's bid for either the 2018 or 2022 World Cup.
