The marquee matchup of the round featured a couple of Top 5 teams as league leader Palmeiras hosted Internacional at the Palestra Itália. Verdão jumped out 2-0 on Internacional thanks to a PK goal by Obina in the 39th minute and a 46th minute goal by José Ortigoza and held off O Colorado Gaucho despite Giuliano's golazo in the 86th. Palmeiras breaks a 4-game winless streak with the win while Inter has lost its 2nd straight match.
