Cruyff brings out formidable Catalan side

Johan Cruyff made his first callup for the Catalunya select side and it is a team that would be a World Cup contender in South Africa.

The former Dream Team boss called up 20 players from various teams in Spain and Europe to take part in the international friendly that will take place at the Nou Camp on December 22th against Argentina.

Barcelona have the majority of players called up with six players on the list. There are also former familiar faces in Oleguer and Cesc Fábregas.

Catalunya will be playing Argentina for a second consecutive year. They played last year at the Nou Camp and Napoli´s Ezequiel Lavezzi scored the only goal of the match.

Defenders: Gerard Piqué (Barcelona), Joan Capdevila (Villarreal), Carles Puyol (Barcelona), Albert Lopo (Deportivo), Fernando Navarro (Sevilla), Oleguer Pressas (Ajax-Ned), Bruno (Valencia)

Midfield: Sergio (Deportivo), Xavi (Barcelona), Joan Verdú (Espanyol), Cesc Fábregas (Arsenal- Eng), Óscar Serrano (Racing), Sergio Busquets (Barcelona), Gabriel García (Ajax), Moisés Hurtado (Espanyol)

Forwards: Bojan Krkic (Barcelona), Ferran Corominas (Espanyol), Sergio García (Betis)
