Carlos Bianchi called it a day as Boca slowly begins to break down. First it was Alfio Basile that stepped down as he saw that the team was not responding and he was not giving his all to the team.
Bianchi in the meantime, continued his battle with specific members of club brass. All of the speculation of him becoming coach has evaporated. This leaves Abel Alves at the helm of a club that is in flux and there is no answer in sight.
"To the Boca Fans:I would like to thank you all for the support ou gave me during my time as Sports Director (manager) at Boca Juniors where I tried my best to give everything I could, but results did not accompany me.
For this reason I will be stepping down in order to allow the administrators to do their job without any complications.
I never count out the possibility of working at Boca once again, especially with the administrators that that contribute instead of the ones that hinder.
Regardless, I swill forever carry with me the memories that I have here. I wish nothing but the best to this great club."
