Bob Bradley should find out by the Monday what the exact fates of Fulham forward Clint Dempsey will be after sustaining a serious injury at the weekend.
Dempsey suffered a knee injury in in the 61st minute of Fulham's 2-0 defeat at the hands of Blackburn Rovers. An MRI was already taken and the initial prognoses indicate that he might have suffered a torn PCL (posterior cruciate ligament). For Fulham this is yet another injury that depletes their offense which was already missing Bobby Zamora, who will not return to action until March.
The injury could have the US international out for an extended period of time and most likely out of the World Cup. This is very bad news for the US side as they are also missing Charlie Davies who is still recovering from injuries sustained in a car accident this past October; AC Milan defender Oguchi Onyewu is recovering from an ACL tear he suffered in November.
