Inter Milan reached the Coppa Italia final on Tuesday after defeating Fiorentina 1-0 at the Artemio Franchi in Firenze. Samuel Eto’o scored in the 57th minute in the only goal of the match. The Neroazzurri won the first leg 1-0 at the Giuseppe Meazza last February. Inter will face the winner of the Udinese-Roma series, with the capital side picking up a 2-0 victory in the first leg. If Roma is able to eliminate Udinese, then the Roma-Inter final would repeat itself for third time in the last four seasons. Roma beat Inter in the Coppa Italia final in 2007 and 2008.
Inter reached the final of this tournament for 12th time in club history and it will be its fifth final appearance in the last 6 years. Inter has won the Coppa Italia five times, with the last celebration coming in 2006.
Inter is now in the running for the treble as they are also in the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League and holding on to second place in the Serie A, one point behind Roma with five rounds left to play. Can Mourinho and his men win it all this year?
