New Manchester United signing Javier "Chicharito" Hernández
A Mexican football player makes history again.
This time Chivas star Javier Hernández is picked up and will apply his craft in one of the most competitive leagues and biggest clubs in the world.
Javier came out of Chivas youth system and showed a great deal of potential After scoring 11 goals in 16 matches in the second half of 2009, Hernández ended up as the third leading scorer in Mexico. He truly broke out in the Bicentenario 2010 tournament socring six goals in his first two matches. Arguably the hottest player in the Mexican league, "Chicharito"has made waves with club and country and found himself on the radar with several European clubs like PSV and reigning Bundesliga champs Wolfsburg.
"Chicharito" (The Little Pea) was nicknamed after his father, Javier Hernández who was part of Mexico's 1986 World Cup team alongside Hugo Sánchez, Tomás Boy, Carlos Hermosillo, and Luis Fernando Tena.
Hernández, 21, will join the Red Devils in July after his participation in the world and as soon as he obtains a work permit in the UK. Signing terms on the agreement were not disclosed.
