Vicente Del Bosque has named his squad for the FIFA Confederations Cup and no surprise Treble winning Barcelona is well represented. Center backs Carlos Puyol and Gerard Pique and midfielders Xavi Hernandez, Andres Iniesta and Sergio Busquets make up the Barca contingent.

Valencia is also well represented with defenders Raul Albiol and Carlos Marchena joining midfielders David Silva and Juanma Mata and striker David Villa. Both Valencia & Barcelona each placed 5 players. The squad is almost identical to the team that captured the European Championship in 2008. Marcos Senna of Villarreal will miss the tournament due to injury.

La Furia Roja opens against New Zealand in Group A on June 14 and look to win the group as Iraq and South Africa make up the rest of the group.
