COSTA RICAN NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM (CRC)

The team known as Los Ticos asserted their place as the best team in CONCACAF right now with two big wins. On the 3rd, Costa Rica dominated the U.S. at the Estadio Saprissa by a score of 3-1. Rodrigo Kenton's men scored twice in the first 13 minutes to deflate the Americans. 3 days later, Los Ticos followed up that performance with a thrilling 3-2 road win against Trinidad & Tobago. Celso Borges 2nd goal of the match in the 69th minute gave Costa Rica the 3 points and a solid hold on 1st place in the CONCACAF hexagonal final stage. For winning 2 matches in 3 days, Costa Rica is the deserved winner of the Mad About Fútbol Team Of The Week.

2nd Place = Chile National Football Team (CHI)

La Roja defeated group leaders Paraguay 2-0 on the road in Asuncion. Goals by the former Colo Colo goal scoring duo of Matias Fernandez and Humberto Suazo gave Chile the 3 points. In a Round where the road team won 4 of the 5 matches. Chile's result was massive as they took down the group leaders. Marcelo Bielsa's La Roja side sit comfortably in 3rd place in the CONMEBOL WC Qualifying standings.

3rd Place = Netherlands National Football Team (NED)

The Clockwork Orange defeated Iceland 2-1 on the road in a UEFA Group 9 match to become the 1st European team to qualify for South Africa 2010. Early goals from Nigel De Jong & Mark Van Bommel sealed the Oranje's place in The Great Tournament.
