Desert Fox coach Rabah Saadane named his 25-man roster as they prepare to participate in the World Cup and there are very little surprises.
The majority of their team come from the European league, primarily France and Germany. Players like Rangers defender Madjid Bougherra and Siena striker Ghezzal Abdelkader were the first stand out of Le Fennecs' list. Both players were fundamental in their run back in January to the semifinals in the African Cup of Nations. Bochum's Anther Yahia, the player that scored the most important goal in Algerian football was also a part of the list. Wolfburg's Karim Ziani will obviously be the engine in the midfield. His inclusion makes people understand that the team will win or lose based on his performance in South Africa.
Blackpool man Hameur Bouazza, who scored the game-winner in injury time against Ivory Coast in Angola will probably be one of five players added to the list come May 11th as he is still recovering from a groin injury.
Algeria are in a very tough Group C where they will face England, Slovenia, and the United States.
