At the end of the 08-09 season, Barcelona sent Samuel Eto'o to Inter Milan and to many observers (including myself), he was dismissed unfairly and unjustifiably painted in a negative light. Many idiotic Barca supporters saw the departure of Eto'o as a good thing, although they failed to realize that he was a MASSIVE part of Barca's historic Triplete.
His reputation as a trouble maker and locker room wrecker was completely wrong and that perception was based on a racist, ignorant thinking.

Inter Milan just won the UEFA Champions League and completed the 1st treble by an Italian team, Samuel Eto'o is the only player in history to win trebles in back to back seasons. He was part of the 1st Spanish treble winning side and now he's part of the 1st Italian treble winning side. His place in history is not by coincidence, he was a major player both for both Barca and Inter. Eto'o wasn't the goal scoring beast in 09-10 that he was in previous seasons, he was still an important piece of Inter's magical season and understand clearly that his presence on the pitch helped open the field for Diego Milito.

To all the Barca people who that preferred Ibrahimovic over Eto'o, you all are just really stupid. Especially when you consider that Inter eliminated Barca in the UCL semis and Ibra was once again a coward when Barca really needed him.

I hope Eto'o feels vindicated by the fact that his teams are 3-0 in Champions League finals and that he scored in 2 of those 3 matches. It would have been perfect had he scored against Bayern. Congratulations to Samuel Eto'o, I'm happy for him. The Cameroonian superstar proved that the best way to stick it to the haters is to win a treble the year after winning a treble.
