Footvolley is a sport that has taken off in the past decade and become one of the fastest growing and most popular disciplines in the world. Pretty mindboggling to see how far the game has evolved in almost 35 years.

Although not the Mecca that Copacabana and Ipanema are for this sport, Hollywood Beach will be buzzing with the anticipation for this event as the maximum event in this sport returns to South Florida.

For those not familiar with footvolley, it is mighty exciting as it combines both soccer and volleyball in an action-packed game.   This game has been made popular by the participation of stars such as Romário, Ronaldinho Gaúcho, and Ronaldo in events during their time off. 

Local talents Sergio Menezes and  Igor Martins as well as Deerfield Beach products Paulo Ricardo and Fernando Tolomelli will take on a field full of the best players in the world.
