Soccer in Southern California just got a facelift after the official inauguration date of Goals Soccer Center over in South Gate Park was given.
The US$5.5 million investment made by UK-based Goals Soccer Centres, LTC is the complex of its kind in the United States.  This 3.5 acre establishment will have 11 tennis court-sized pitches that will use the most technologically advanced artificial turf and high-powered lights to offer a faster version of the game all day long.

The complex is scheduled to open its doors in the first days of June, most likely right before the World Cup kicks off on June 12th.
   
"We will offer our community a world-class football environment," said president Les Allan. "From the dressing rooms to the personnel and the impeccable pitches, we are creating something that no player has experienced ever.  Once they experience it, they will come and play again and again.  This is not  a place to play football; but a place to live football year-round. Our mission is to offer a unique product at Goal Soccer Centers.  Our goal is to satisfy the needs of soccer fans in Southern California,"said Allan. 

The courts will be 33'x 22' , thus offering a great deal of options of play for players of all ages and skill levels.  This venue will also help propel the emerging popularity of futsal here in the US.  This same type of place has seen a great deal of growth of sports such as futsal, which have seen enormous growth in the past couple of years across the pond.

In addition to the game-playing aspect, the complex will also have a social area as well as a restaurant that will add to the luxuries for friends and family to live the "soccer experience" to the max.
