Buenos Aires, Argentina - Martin Palermo,36, known by many as "El Titan" or "The optimistic" recently announced his retirement from professional football just days after he signed a 1 year contract extension with Boca Juniors.

Palermo has scored 220 goals with Boca Juniors, becoming the maximum scorer for the club. He was also the protagonist of a special world cup goal against Greece, a goal that every Argentine celebrated.
