I guess you can call them soccer's equivalent to the iPhone 3GS. After months of speculation, confirmation, and reconfirmation by official sites and blogs all over the world... Real Madrid's kit for the upcoming season was finally presented and is out in stores all over the world.

On Friday, the home, away, and goalkeeper jerseys that the "New Galácticos" will be wearing during the upcoming La Liga season were presented. The kit overall is very sharp-looking. It seems like Adidas did their best not to overlook the slightest detail, to a defect in some aspects. For example, the yellow ribbing could have been jettisoned from the white jersey. That coor seems to fade into the jersey or maybe it just does not belong. What is most impressive is the patch on the right side opposite the team crest that contains a symbol representing the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. It is a great to remind everyone that the 2010 Champions League final will take place in the home of the nine-time European champions.

Every Team Needs A Jersey As Great As Its History

That is the motto that Adidas has give the kit and they surely have not failed in doing so. The entire kit looks very sleek in different way. Very much like the AC Milan and Liverpool templates, the classic Blanco jersey with the very basic collar.











The second jersey in the meantime is very similar to the layout of the Palmeiras or St. Etienne jerseys that we have shown you here on Mad About Fútbol. The dark blue jersey with sky blue Adidas stripes area slight change of pace from the black that have been common in Madrid second jerseys for the past few seasons.




Meanwhile Iker Casillas will come out with a very nice goalkeeper jersey. His design is similar to that of the home jersey except the color and the trim will be more prevalent. The fit at least seems to be tighter than the average Adidas jersey, but it will be a benefit for goalkeepers when they go to the deck for balls.
