What better place to make a presentation about the Brazilian national team than Carnaval? Well with some of the great stars of the sport in Brazil present in the pre-Lent co-capital of the universe, it was the perfect thing to do.

Robinho was in Rio de Janeiro showing off the World Cup alternate uniform that the Canarinha will be using and Nike so far has disappointed. The design is very simple, unworthy of what the greatest soccer nation in the world should be wearing.

As various leaked reports showed, the jerseys are going to be more adjusted and with DriFit technology, but the design is one that leaves much to be desired.

Unlike the US jerseys (which are probably the best Nike kits so far) that are being designed as a tribute to the 1950 team that defeated England, Brazil is going in an opposite direction. Of course they would not want to remember one of the most painful moments in that country's footballing history.

This is why Nike did this elaborate presentation with their Brazilian second jerseys. The classic blue jersey with yellow trim is unique if you start to see the unique star pattern printed throughout the Verdeamarelha kit.
