Miami FC out with a campaign to fill up their regular season finale against the Puerto Rico Islanders at Lockhart Stadium in Ft. Lauderdale. The announcement was made on the club's Facebook page.
Miami FC's campaign consists of a player on the team will shave their heads for every 500 tickets sold for the Islanders match on August 19th. This willingness on the part of all the players shows the clubs as well as the community how committed they are to the success of the team both on the pitch and in the stands.
"I'm so proud of Miami FC! The fact that the boys are shaving their heads for their fans, demonstrates their commitment to success," Miami FC's Jessica Nasib Fiat.
"Regardless of the outcome, the process of this project is uniting this team more than ever.”
Miami are currently fighting for a playoff spot as they find themselves in seventh place in the USL-1 standings. They will be heading to to idylic Puerto Rico to face the Tropa Naranja this coming weekend at the Estadio Ramón Juan Loubriel in Bayamón.
