As reported earlier by MLS Talk correspondent Kartik Krishnaiyer, Miami FC have signed U-20 start Gale Agbossoumonde.

The native of Benin was a fundamental stalwart in the US defense during the qualifiers in Mexico that were cut short due to the swine flu breakout. Agbossoumonde signed with the USL side and what made it final was the win by the Puerto Rico Islanders against Toronto FC. Agbossoumonde, 17, was getting hard looks by MLS sides as well as by European sides; his final decision ended up being for the USL.

For Miami FC it is arguably one of the best acquisitions in the club's brief history. Agbossoumonde will shore up that Miami FC backline that really needs a great deal of help. If there is one negative in that they will lose this top senior side prospect as he will join the US U-20 team in Egypt for the World Cup in the next month.

There is still work that the Blues' front office is currently doing as there is talk that a former Brazilian international should be playing for the Miami side during this final stretch of the regular season.
